Sartres Philosophy Sartre believed that one day man happened, or occurred, and subsequently this anomalous event mans life took meaning. With thistheory, Sartre articulated the premise that existence precedesessence. Through this assumption, Sartre evolves further ideasin which a human target gain a greater understanding of human natureand responsibility.In his theory stating that existence precedes essence,Sartre takes the belief that life has a meaning that farawaytranscends our short and insignificant lives. He believed thatlife has no meaning unless we gave it meaning. In the search forlife, we become anguished by the affairs of life. Sartre believedthat when this occurred, we pursue a total project in anattempt to flee this anguish. To pursue afundamental project according to Sartre is to act in magnanimous faith. Consequently, to act in bad faith, according to Sartre is tomanifest our freedom inauthenticaly.Sartre assessed how when man acknowledges and accepts thathe is a living being with a biological and social past.
